Long Island Anxiety and OCD Specialist
Practice Owner & Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Rose Taveras
When you decide to start your journey with me, you’re not just signing up for sessions — you’re gaining a trusted partner in your healing process.
I’m a Long Island therapist specializing in therapy for anxiety, OCD, and perfectionism, helping teens and young adults find peace, confidence, and balance.
At RIT Psychology in Roslyn, New York, my goal is to help you understand yourself better, manage anxious thoughts effectively, and create lasting change — all at your own pace.
A Personalized Approach to Therapy
When you begin therapy with me, you’ll have access to a full metaphorical toolbox of strategies designed to:
Lessen anxiety and overthinking
Improve your mood and daily functioning
Build healthy habits and self-compassion
Because no two clients are the same, I use an integrative and holistic approach that blends:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT)
Mindfulness & Meditation Practices
If something we try doesn’t click, that’s okay — I have plenty of other evidence-based tools for us to explore. Therapy should feel flexible, collaborative, and tailored to you.
Empowerment Through Collaboration
You’ll never feel pressured to make changes you’re not ready for. I believe in your autonomy — my role is to help you gain clarity about what’s working (and what’s not) in your life.
Through curiosity, reflection, and gentle accountability, we’ll work together to help you:
Reduce anxiety and self-doubt
Strengthen relationships
Build emotional resilience
Feel more confident and capable in everyday life
Therapy isn’t about fixing you — it’s about helping you reconnect with your strengths and values.
Real Understanding, Real Connection
You deserve an anxiety therapist who truly understands what you’re going through. As someone who has personally experienced anxiety and depression, I know how it feels to need both a safe space and a guide.
I bring not only professional expertise but also genuine empathy. You’ll find a therapy space filled with no judgment, unconditional support, and a sprinkle of humor — because healing can be meaningful and human.
The Result:
A Calmer, More Confident You
My mission is to help you build a life that feels calm, grounded, and authentic — one where anxiety no longer controls your decisions or limits your joy.
Together, we’ll work toward the confident, thriving version of you:
the one who feels secure in relationships, capable at work, and passionate about life again.
Book a consultation to start your journey with a Long Island anxiety therapist who gets it — both personally and professionally.
